Realizes highly automated TDR measurement of high speed PCB's.

With MicroCraft's TDR tester series, TDR testing of next generation high frequency board such as RAMBUS can be automated. Both the TDR meters of Tektronix and Agilent Technologies are supported respectively. It automatically measures the impedance (Zo) of high frequency PCB. Moreover, the resolution is better than that of the Fixture type TDR measurement method due to the excellent frequency characteristic of the system itself.

Basic Principle of
TDR Measurement
By utilizing Coaxial Probe, high frequency signal that is generated by TDR Generator is loaded on a pattern of PCB. The reflection wave against the signal is measured by the Sampler, and thus the Impedance mismatch is calculated.

MicroCraft has developed the high frequency coaxial probe of 28-oh m impedance. This coaxial probe itself has more than a 5 GHz frequency characteristic.
Changeable

MicroCraft has developed the high frequency coaxial probe of 50 impedance. This coaxial probe itself has more than a 10GHz frequency characteristic.
TDR Series is equipped with three probe tops that are different in pitch so that they can be adjusted appropriately and thereby used for highly complex traces around the measurement points.
The GND terminal part can rotate, thus supporting various ground locations.
The specially designed probe tip is spring loaded to absorb any impact with the PCB.
Probe Top Changer Three types of Probe tops are automatically loaded interchangeably with the help of a changer. The measurement accuracy of the entire system is maintained by calibrating each time with calibration boards.
Ionizer The Ionizer attached to the arm introduces an air purge prior to the test and neutralizes the static charge of the PCB.
Otherwise, the TDR meter may run the risk of damaging the sampling unit from the sparking caused by its touching of a charged board.
