Finalists For Two Major Industry Awards

TalkTactics, New Zealand’s premier provider of specialist training in the contact centre industry, have announced that they are finalists for two major industry awards, the TUANZ Innovation Award in Tertiary Education and the WestpacTrust Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Award for Excellence in Service Delivery.

TUANZ (Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand) Innovation Awards are annual awards that celebrate outstanding achievement in the telecommunications industry. The STEP Academy, a training arm of TalkTactics, has been nominated for the TUANZ Tertiary Education Award. STEP Academy was launched earlier this year after two years of research that uncovered not only a severe shortage of professionally trained staff both here and overseas for the rapidly-growing call centre industry, but also the fact that there was no current course meeting market demand and expectations.

Essentially the STEP Academy provides a systematic methodology of call centre, or contact centre, training for staff throughout their career. STEP Academy incorporates the highly successful Certificate in Call Centre Operations designed at entry level training. This certificate is both NZQA as well as ETITO (Electrotechnology Industry Training Organisation) accredited. STEP Academy culminates in the Diploma in Call Centre Management.

TalkTactics have excelled in service delivery and their commitment to training and fostering good business relationships have won them praise from the judges in the North Shore Excellence Awards.

The TUANZ Awards will be announced at a gala evening on August 15th.

The Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards are announced on August 29th. Both events will be held at the Bruce Mason Centre on Auckland’s North Shore.
