| A Proud History of Progress Founded in 1987, the National Consortium of Chemical Dependency Nurses has functioned as a professional specialty nursing organization representing nurses specializing in the treatment of addictions. Since the establishment of this association, NCCDN has led the field in cutting-edge information, education, and service to members. NCCDN was the first to initiate a certification program in the specialty, recognizing both RNs and LPNs. The CD NURSE conference has the reputation of being the largest and most comprehensive national educational meeting for nurses treating addicts and alcoholics.
