ACU-THERAPIES
Acupuncture.
Katowice accommodationIzola hotel accommodationIt's not what you might think. It all starts with the acu-point, an energy vortex on an energy channel. Much like a capacitor on an circuit board. It was originally discovered and stimulated 5,000 years ago with a stone, bone, a stick, and then a needle. The recently found ice-man, frozen in the glacier, had his acupoints tattooed on his body. Today we use sterile, disposable monofiliment wire strands that vary in length and diameter, depending on what part of the body we are going to stimulate. THERE ARE ALSO OTHER MODERN OPTIONS at your disposal. Here are a few that our staff are adept with.

Moxa Heat Therapy. It's made up of mugwort, the first plant to spring back up from the scorched earth of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. A testament to it's incredible powers of rejuvination. Moxa therapy is a hallmark of energetic healing. (see photo).

Electrical stimulation, using special devices designed to emit a wave with specific amplitude that influences the acupoint more effectively.

Cold laser. This looks like a laser pointer. And it is, but it has to be at a specific nanometer capacity in order to effectively stimulate the point. The Japanese have been researching and using laser acutherapy for decades.

Tuning Forks. It's called Acu-toning. Forks vibrating to different musical notes have been found to resonate with the acupoints and organs in a unique way to restore energetic balance and harmony.

Magnets. Once again the Japanese lead the way with decades of research and application. The Koreans have joined in with a wonderful device called the "Acutouch" point stimulator. It combines North and South electrodes, negative ion generation, and energy lenses, contained in two pen-sized devices.

"Homeodermic" Therapy. This is fusion therapy at a whole new level. Sterile Homeopathic remedies developed and tested in Germany, the birthplace of homeopathy, are introduced quickly and painlessly to the acupoint, under compression, by means of a precision French device known as a "Derma jet" This combination of the best of the East and the West is an ideal means of treating "ashi" trigger points and points around the joints, as well as points along the bladder energy channel, influencing the function of the various organs of the body.

ACUPRESSURE
Tui Na literally means push and grasp, two of over 50 different manual techniques used in the hospitals in China to treat both muscular-skeletal problems and internal disorders. These techniques are used on the over 300 acu-points located throughout the body. Two specialized Tui Na applications widely used in China are Pediatric and Sports Tui Na. Herbal compresses, plasters and poultices are also often used to accelerate the healing of sports injuries.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese art of harmonizing the life energy of the body and was revived from obscurity by Master Jiro Murai in the early 1900's. The practitioner places their fingertips on a combination of "safety energy locks" to harmonize and restore energy flow, facilitating the reduction of stress and tension accumulated during normal daily living. The recipient lays supine, fully clothed during treatment, and feels the tension melt away.

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese form of acupressure that uses primarily thumb pressure on the tsubo points along the back, arms, and legs. Hara (abdominal) diagnosis and treatment are sometimes included to reinforce the effect of moving the ki throughout the body and restoring balance and harmony.

Acu-Hand Self Care is an acupoint micro-system that can be accessed on the hand, to treat the whole body. Think of it as acupressure hand reflexology. Pressure, moxa heat therapy, electrical or magnetic stimulation, massage, and the use of special alloy pellets are used to move energy through the hand/body to treat pain, trauma, and internal complaints. Once Sooji is performed by the practitioner the technique is then taught to the patient so that they can use it on themselves between visits, to accelerate their progress. Cyber Courses available.

Sotai was developed in Japan by Dr Keizo Hashimoto, MD., as a gentle, integrated movement away from pain. Doshin examination is first done to discover the structural and energetic distortion and dysfunction. Movements are then prescribed to better mobilize the body and restore structural and energetic integrity. These exercises are then taught to the patient as a means to accelerate recovery. Cyber Courses available

ACU-CIZE (Acupuncture Exercise)
Tai Chi is a series of energetic movements that were originally designed for self-defense. Over three thousand years old. it has evolved into half a dozen different styles, with thousands of variations. The most popular form is Yang Style , followed by Wu, Shen, and Sun forms. Short forms are taught on a regular as well as intensive basis at East-Well.

Chi Gong means literally "energy practice." It utilizes various forms of posture, breathing and visualization to increase, direct, and store the body's energy. There are two kinds of Chi Gong exercises, passive and active, Yin and Yang. The passive forms are more quiessant, while the moving forms build inner strength and energy while balancing both yin and yang energy. Medical chi gong is used both in the prevention and treatment of disease in China. Ongoing classes as well as intensives are held at East-Well.

Nei GongERROR MSG means "inner practice." It is a form of Chi Gong that focuses more intensely on building inner strength by assuming stationary, isometric poses, while utilizing breathing and visualization techniques. Regular Nei gong classes are held at East-Well.

WESTERN ENERGETIC THERAPY
Homeopathy was discovered by Dr. Samuel Hanneman in the mid-eighteen hundreds, in Germany. By the end of the century more than 25 % of the American physicians were practicing homeopaths, with Drs. Kent, Boerike, and Herring gaining international prominence. Many leading universities, such as the University of Iowa and the University of Michigan taught Homeopathy in their medical schools. Homeopathy continued as mainstream medicine in most of Europe and was exported by the British to India. When the A.M.A. became the dominant medical power in the U.S. and made their practice drug-dependent on the powerful pharmaceutical companies, Homeopathic Hospitals and Schools were closed down and Homeopathic Physicians were denied practice privileges in hospitals of the "dominant paradigm." Fortunately Homeopathy continued to flourish on the Continent, and the Queen of England's physician, Dr. Blackie, is a Homeopathic practitioner. Scientific research has has established Homeopathy as a viable alternative to drugs in Europe, and is being rediscovered by practitioners and the general public alike in the U.S.. Consultation and classes in Homeopathy are offered.

Flower Essences were first discovered in the 1920's by Dr. Edward Bach, an English physician, as a means to treat illness at the etheric level, before it consolidates into a more dense, material form. Dr. Bach was a Homeopathic physician who experimented with 38 different homeopathic dilution's of Flower Essences of his native Britain. Since then thousands of other flower essences have been discovered, from Australia to Alaska, and are also available at East-Well.

Gemmotherapy is a homeopathic method, practiced most widely by physicians in France, that uses plant bud extracts or other vegetable tissue, freshly harvested from the growing plant. It is used in that country to treat a wide range of health issues that don't respond to conventional therapy, and according to Max Tetau, MD, one of its principal advocates, "is fully integrated with Biotherapy methods and aims to broaden the scope of Homeopathy and modernize the practice by adapting it to the needs and the progress of modern medicine."

Eastern Food Therapy is not concerned about foods from the perspective of their protein, carbohydrate, calorie, vitamin, or mineral value. We let our nutritionist work with that information. Rather, we address foods based on the five flavors: acrid, sweet, sour, bitter and salty. We also look at the five energies of food: cold, hot, warm, cool and neutral. We also look at the four directions of food, affecting the inside, outside, upper and lower parts of the body. And finally, we look at the properties, or organic actions of food itself, how it effects the various organs of the body. We add this information to the comprehensive Western Nutritional support offered by our nutritional counselor to give you the best of both worlds to both keep you well, and help get you well.
